Staron is a solid 100% Acrylic Surface produced by Samsung and is one of the latest innovative materials which Beechwood Interiors fabricates and laminates into any size or shape imaginable.

Staron comes in a wide variety of colours. It can be used though out the home in many rooms such as the kitchen as a durable and hygienic work top. Staron is Heat Resistant up to 210°F. Joints appear seamless which prevent the build up of bacteria or mould on any unsightly grout lines. The fact that Staron is a non porous product results in a truly sealed work top which prevents the likes of red wine and citrus juice being able to penetrate and stain the surface as it can with natural granite and stone.

Not only is Staron ideal for in the kitchen but also in bathrooms. Staron can create a luxurious shower cubical or an alluring vanity top which can even be complimented with matching shower tray and hand basins.

The possibilities with Staron are endless and its superb machining abilities result in unimaginable designs being created, for example the use of Thermo Forming allows Beechwood Interiors to create curved bar tops and reception desks, emphasising Staron’s ability to be used on a commercial level as well as residential.

Why use Staron Solid Surface?

Beechwood Interiors have found that there are so many advantages of using Staron over a more traditional material for the below reasons:

• Durability – Staron is heat resistant up to 210°F
• Aesthetics – Staron is available in over 100 colours
• Hygienic – As Staron is non porous material cannot penetrate the surface and as the joints are seamless harmful bacteria cannot build on the joints and they also cannot be seen.
• Easy Care – Staron can be re polished simply with a household scrubbing pad and towel.

Furthermore Staron is the only solid surface that has received the London Underground certificate meaning that Staron passes their rigorous fire retardant test making Staron Ideal for the business world.

What design options are there?

As with all of Beechwood Interiors work, Staron commissions are bespoke and therefore there are no set designs. We can create tops with decorative inlays, detailed edge profiles and even use our specialist Thermoforming techniques to create curved tops and down stands.

How much does it cost?

As each design is bespoke and there are several different price ranges that Staron offer it is impossible to price your design without a consultation. However we believe that it would be very difficult to find a quotation of your exact design in granite any cheaper.

Is there any Warranty?

As Beechwood Interiors are an Approved Fabricator for Staron we are able to offer a 10 Year Warranty covering the materials as well as workmanship.

What about heat?

As with all surfaces care should be taken with hot pans and dishes. With all kitchen worktops you wouldn’t remove pans straight from the oven and place them directly on the work surface. To combat this Beechwood Interiors can fit stainless steel heat bars into the tops near hobs and these allow you place hot pans and act as a suitable place to serve from.

What thickness and size does Staron Come In?

Staron is so versatile with its seamless joints that it can be any thickness you require, totally suiting your needs. Again size is not an issue as joints appear seamless not limiting the size either.

How long will it take?

With all aspects of work, Beechwood Interiors take pride in our quick turn around time and dependent on the design, colour choice and Staron stock levels we aim for a fully fitted top within two weeks of agreeing the design.

Do Beechwood Interiors template?

Yes. So that your top looks as good as it should we template all of our work taking into account your requirement such choosing the correct thickness worktop and size of the upstands, even the location of any items such as Sinks, Bowls, Hobs and Heat Bars.
